Tuition & Fees:

$5995.00 for the Basic Polygraph Examiner Course (at our home office in San Antonio). Tuition includes all instructional material, office supplies, library access, wireless Internet in the classroom, and access to all major polygraph instrument brands for practice and evaluation. Students also receive a one year access to our E-learning website where our electronic library on research in interviewing interrogation and polygraph is maintained.  Lodging, local travel and meals are not included in tuition price.  A $1000.00 deposit may be required to confirm seating space. 

$695.00 for PCSOT, Advanced, or Proficiency Evaluation Courses.  Students are encouraged to submit their field polygraph exams in advance for review and score.

Students are normally required to bring a suitable laptop that will accept Windows Operating Systems computer polygraph applications. We have found that android, Mac or Apple products are generally not suitable for our courses.      

Acceptance:

Students are strongly encouraged to register early as space is limited in order to keep instructor to student ratios low.  We can accept checks, money orders, and Visa, MasterCard and Discover for tuition payment.  Convenience fees may be applied for credit card use. Discounted pricing is available for agencies who desire to send multiple students or host training on location. Satellite training course tuition rate and lodging may vary by location.  

All of our training courses require commitment from students.  Students attending any course should be prepared to take significant notes, study class handouts and be challenged mentally during any course. Applicants for the Basic Examiner Course should expect a highly challenging academic environment requiring significant student effort. Polygraph students are also held to a high standard of moral and ethical behavior. Applicants will be required to provide evidence of a clear background check or submit to one prior to acceptance. Students who do not meet these requirements will not be accepted. Students who do not continue to meet these requirements after acceptance will be dismissed. Any student, who has withdrawn from any previous training for academic deficiency, must meet personally with the school director for individual approval.

Academic Facilities:

House Rules etc. will be provided in handout and briefing formats at school orientation.  We have multiple testing rooms for practice with audio/visual monitoring.  WiFi is available in the classroom, as well as a student lounge and refrigerator.  Dress is normally office casual for student comfort and learning.

We have special contracts with several local hotels that provide excellent lodging, with numerous amenities, and some meals, at reasonable rates during the Basic Examiner Course.  Please compare the total costs for our polygraph training and lodging with any other accredited course.  You will find that we provide exceptional training at a very affordable cost. 

Accreditation:

The Polygraph Institute is approved by the American Association of Police Polygraphists for polygraph examiner training.

The Polygraph Institute is accredited by the American Polygraph Association for basic polygraph examiner course instruction and for the instruction of Post Conviction Sex Offender Supervision (PCSOT) training.  Our last APA inspection was in June, 2022 and was completed with zero deficiencies.

Successful completion of an American Polygraph Association (APA) accredited polygraph program is only one of the necessary prerequisites for membership in the APA, and or other professional polygraph associations. Please check with each association for additional information on membership. This school adheres to standards promulgated by the APA, AAPP and ASTM and is subject to inspection for compliance with standards.  We strongly endorse and support professional polygraph standards that may be obtained from respective organizations.
